Doris (Hettler) Fogelquist
August 23, 1922 - December 14, 2003
Doris (Hettler) Fogelquist died December 14, 2003, at the Bethel Health Center in Bethel at the age of 81.
She was the wife of the late Victor Fogelquist and was a resident of the Village at Brookfield Commons in Brookfield.
Mrs. Fogelquist was born August 23, 1922 daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hettler, and had lived in Briarcliff Manor, Westchester County, N.Y., for many years.
As a young wife and mother, she devoted her life to her home and family. She was a girl scout leader, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Pleasantville New York.
She later worked as an Interviewer for the Census Dept. of the U.S. Government. After her retirement from there, she worked for the Lyndhurst Historical Society, in the gift shop.
Mrs. Fogelquist will be sadly missed by her loving son, Charles V. Fogelquist, of Cortland Manor, N.Y.; and her loving daughter, Kim Paduano and her husband James, of Brookfield; her devoted grandchildren: Jason and Emily Fogelquist and Pamela Paduano, her sister, Florence Guest, of Ocean Grove N.J.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Mark Nordskog, officiating. Burial will follow with her husband, in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
