Dorothy "Dot" Foye, 91, of Heritage Village, Southbury, wife of the late Gerard J. Foye, Sr., died at her home surrounded by her family, on Monday, November 6th. She was born in New York, NY on October 28, 1915, daughter of the late William D. and Marie (O'Keefe) Brown.
Mrs. Foye worked with premature babies as a Ward Clerk for the City of New York Hospital System, retiring at the age of 65. She enjoyed her many friends and social life at Heritage Village.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she devoted her life to her family and her home.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Gerard J. Foye, Jr., M.D. and his wife, Judith of Danbury, Francis K. Foye and his wife Maria Victoria of Baltimore, Md; her daughter, Patricia A. Tharrington and her husband James of Brookfield; her fourteen cherished grandchildren, Virginia Foye-Sousou, Annemarie Foye-McCarthy, Gerard J. Foye, III, Clare Messuri, Laura Levin, William Foye, Deirdre Martin, Christopher, Kayla, Marlaina and Tara Foye, James "T", Ken and Owen Tharrington. She is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street, South, Southbury, on Thursday, November 9th at 10:00am. Burial will follow in New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
The family will receive friends at Sacred Heart Church, Southbury on Wednesday, November 9th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm; and also on Thursday Morning between 9:00 and 10:00am. Donations Information
