Waldir Freitas Jr
November 14, 1957 - November 20, 2006
Waldir "Walt" Freitas, Jr., 49, of Crow's Nest Lane, Danbury, son of Aracy (Carvalho) Freitas, and the late Waldir Freitas, Sr., died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, November 20th. He was born in Petersburg Virginia on November 14, 1957. He was a graduate of Danbury High School and Western Connecticut State University.
Walt worked as a security guard for Mannkind Corporation of Danbury for four years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed weight lifting, running, and physical fitness.
In addition to his mother, Aracy, he will be sadly missed by his brother, Tyrone Freitas of Austin, TX; his nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Bianca, and Anthony Freitas; his four uncles, Nelson Freitas of Florida, Ary and Arlindo Carvalho and Augusto Freitas, both of Brazil; his three aunts, Alice Vieira, Adriana Carvalho, and Dulcinea Durao, all of Brazil; as well as several cousins in Brazil. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 25th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Final disposition will be private.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, November 24th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
