Claire (Schmitt) Fryburger
November 16, 1928 - September 02, 2004
Claire (Schmitt) Fryburger, 77, of Whisconier Road, Brookfield, wife of the late LeRoy Fryburger, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, September 2nd, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Valhala, New York, on November 16, 1928, daughter of the late Clarence and Anna (Field) Schmitt. She was a graduate of Marietta College in Ohio.
She worked alongside her husband at Bethel Hardware for more than forty years.
Mrs. Fryburger was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her granddaughters and was very proud of their accomplishments.
Mrs. Fryburger was an avid Bridge player, and enjoyed membership in the local book club in New Milford, Circle "B" Square Dance Club and was a past Girl Scout Leader in Brookfield. She loved collecting antiques and restored her vintage 1800's home in Brookfield.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Thayer Cipolla and her husband, Robert of New Fairfield; her three granddaughters, Shaela, Rebecca and Leana Cipolla. She is also survived by her many friends. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of Brookfield Saturday, September 4th at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
