Obituary of Mary L. Gereg

Mary L. Gereg January 23, 1919 - February 14, 2005 Mary L. Gereg, 86, of Pocono Road, Brookfield, loving wife of the late Adam D. Gereg, died at her home on Monday, February 14th. She was born in Sharon, Connecticut on January 23, 1919, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Cooper) Eighme. Mrs. Gereg worked as a Needler for Davis & Geck for more than ten years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield and was also active in their Ladies Guild. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting and cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Arlene Rahoczy and her husband Andre of Florida, Elizabeth Metz of Florida, and Sandra Gereg of Brookfield with whom she made her home; her three grandchildren, Michelle Beitigold, Andrea Gladu, and Vallie Metz. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Chloe Gladu and Jade Beitigold. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16th at 1:00pm (**Please note time changed to 1:00pm) at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will take place in the Spring in St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford. There are no calling hours. The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
