Obituary of Joan Bailey

Joan Bailey March 14, 1935 - July 21, 2009 Joan Marie (Walberg) Bailey, age 74, of Fourth St. Danbury, devoted wife of Howard R. Bailey, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, July 21st. She was born in Washington, CT on March 14, 1935. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed working as a transcriptionist for Housatonic Radiology Associates for the past 22 years. She loved going to work and over the years made many friends in the medical field. Her hobbies included reading, listening to Country Western music, and she enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. In addition to her cherished husband of 53 years, Howard, she will be sadly missed by her son, Brett H. Bailey of Danbury; her brothers, Elliott Walberg of Brookfield, and George Walberg of New Milford; her sister, Evelyn "Kiki" Luzak of Danbury; her sister-in-law, Esther McCoy of Southbury; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, July 25th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
