Laura Marie Godfrey, of Topstone Drive, Danbury, died unexpectedly, at her home, on Tuesday, October 5th. She was born in Danbury on July 16, 1969, daughter of Richard and Marie (Morneault) Godfrey. She was a graduate of Bethel High School and was a lifetime member of the area community.
Laura loved reading, watching TV, and planting flowers with her daughters. She was a great cook. She enjoyed taking her daughters to cheerleading and softball games. She was happiest when watching her girls during their school concerts and competitions. She was so proud of them. She liked taking them fishing and swimming but her most favorite was to take them shopping.
Laura was such a loving and caring person. She was always taking in people who needed help and any stray animal that she found. Her family, friends, and the world, will truly miss her.
In addition to her parents, Richard and Marie Godfrey, of Bethel; she is survived by her three beloved daughters, Shannon Longo, Autumn Longo, and Amber Villani; her companion, Richard Penn of Danbury; her paternal grandfather, George Godfrey, Jr. of Bethel. She is also survived by her brother, Richard "Ricky" Godfrey, Jr., of Marietta, GA; her sister, Felicia Godfrey of Danbury; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9th, 1:30pm, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury. Cremation and interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8th at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, between the hours of 5 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
