Alice S. Goldie, age 84, of Brookfield, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Goldie.
Mrs. Goldie was born on August 26, 1920 in Elderslie, Johnstone, Scotland, the daughter of the late John and Jane (Phillips) Skillen. She immigrated to New York in 1923 where she was raised and educated. She was an Administrative Assistant at Jacoby Hospital, Bronx, NY. Mrs. Goldie moved to this area after her retirement. She was a volunteer for the Cancer Society where she worked with the patients.
Mrs. Goldie is survived by a son: Bruce A. Goldie of Estero, FL; 2 daughters: Jill C. Goldie of Brookfield, Suzanne J. Goldie of Bethel; a sister: Christina Kaufmann of Trumbull; 4 grandchildren: Billy S. Goldie, Robert P. Goldie, Anthony M. Goldie, Sara M. Goldie; 2 great grandsons: R. Cougar Goldie and River A. Goldie. She was predeceased by a sister Sally S. Berlinghoff. Funeral Information
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 7:00pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Burial will take place in Central Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until the time of the service at 7:00pm.
