Girolama May Grammatico
December 23, 1906 - October 16, 2003
Girolama "May" (Bottino) Grammatico, formerly of Tammany Trails, Danbury, wife of the late Natale Grammatico, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, October 16th, at the age of 96. She was born in New York, NY on December 23, 1906, daughter of the late Stephen and Domica (Benigno) Bottino. She made her home in the Danbury Community for forty years.
Mrs. Grammatico was a seamstress for Ideal Manufacturing retiring at the age of 58. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She especially enjoyed cooking, knitting special things for her family and growing beautiful flowers in her yard.
Mrs. Grammatico is survived by a son, Alfred Grammatico of New Milford; a daughter, Jean LoPresti of Bethel; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by sisters, Josephine Conti and Stephanie Gagliardi, both of Long Island, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Salvatore Bottino and sisters, Rose Curcio, Marie Olando, and Jennie Bottino. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 20th, 10:00am, at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury with burial to follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, October 19th between the hours of 2 and 5pm, at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
