Otto A. Gravesen, 64, of Danbury, devoted husband of Barbara (Brennan) Gravesen, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 20th. He was born in Danbury on January 28, 1941, son of the late Otto G. and Helen R. (Silva) Gravesen.
Mr. Gravesen worked as an assistant forman at Viking Wire Co. in Danbury,for 29 years. He later went on to become an avid farmer who owned and operated Then Some Farms in Ridgefield and the nursery Covered Wagon. He loved farming, animals, and hunting. He especially enjoyed his weekend trips to Vermont and spending time on the farm".
In addition to his wife of 44 years, Barbara, he is survived by his two daughters, Marie Athans and her husband David of Newtown, Barbara Aziere and her husband Daniel of Danbury; his son, Joseph Gravesen and his wife, Michele of Danbury; and his six beautiful grandchildren, Tanya and Tiffany Rotella, Jessica Aziere, Zachary Gravesen, and Alexander and Nathaniel Aziere. He is also survived by his aunt, Francis Murtha of Danbury. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, January 26th at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 25th between the hours of 6 and 8pm. Donations Information
