Richard Lester Greene
January 12, 1937 - December 11, 2005
Richard Lester Greene, 68, of Whisconier Road, Brookfield, died suddenly on Sunday, December 11th at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Brookfield on January 12, 1937, son of the late Ethel Alaby Greene and Lester Wilton Greene. He graduated from Henry Abbott Regional Vocational High School in Danbury.
He was a United States Army Veteran and was a lifelong resident of Brookfield. He worked as a welder and machinist for many years. He was a Life Member of Connecticut Antique Machinery and a volunteer with the organization. He had a passion for antique cars and steam engines. He was a member of a pit crew at Danbury Raceway.
He is survived by his sister, Joan Pierpont and her husband Norman of Oxford; two nieces, one nephew, three grandnieces, one grandnephew, many cousins and friends. Funeral Information
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Saturday, December 17th between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00pm.
Funeral Services and Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations Information
