Richard G. Gustavson, III, age 24, of Hardscrabble Road, Sherman, died in Danbury on Thursday, May 7th. He was born in Danbury on August 26, 1984, cherished son of Richard G. and Patricia A. (Bongo) Gustavson. He was a graduate of Immaculate High School, Class of 2003, and was currently attending Western Connecticut State University.
Richard worked as an IT Analyst for Connolly Consulting in Wilton. He was a loving son who was devoted to his family. He enjoyed playing with the Danbury Men's Hockey League, and was an avid NY Rangers Fan. He loved computers and computer science, but his happiest times were spent with his cousins, Jake, Julia and Anthony.
In addition to his parents, Richard and Patricia, he will be sadly missed by his two brothers, Bryan R. Gustavson and his fiancé Alix Linthicum of New Fairfield, and Michael A. Gustavson of Sherman; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Patrice Gustavson of New Fairfield; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Lisabeth Bongo of Danbury; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Tuesday, May 12th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00am. Donations Information
