Mary A. Guzy, age 92, of Danbury, wife of the late Michael A. Guzy, entered into the Home of the Lord on February 6th at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Danbury on November 28, 1916, daughter of the late John and Mary Manacek. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
In her early years, she was employed by the former Feinsons Men and Boys Store on the corner of Main and White St. She later worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Modern Garage in Danbury. She was a loving and devoted mother whose life centered around her church and her family.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Pamela Mudge, with whom she made her home in Danbury; her son, Michael Guzy and his wife, Robin of Danbury; her grandchildren, Kevin Mudge and his wife, Patty of New Fairfield, Jennifer Salvatore and her husband Paul of Forrest City, PA, Carrie Morrell and her husband, Richard of New Milford; Allison Gaulard and her husband, Tom of Brookfield. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Richard and James Morrell, Connor and Shane Mudge, and Paul Salvatore.
Mrs. Guzy's family would also like to thank her caregiver and dear friend, Rita Murphy of Danbury. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, February 8th at 5:00pm with Pastor German of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will take place in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00pm. Donations Information
