H. Ruthann Haitsch
April 19, 1934 - April 18, 2007
H. Ruthann (Humphry) Haitsch, formerly of Bethel, devoted wife of Richard Haitsch, died at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia on Wedneday, April 18th. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 19, 1934, daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Eckardt) Humphry.
Mrs. Haitsch worked in the traffic department at Duracell Co. for 21 years. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a member of the Women's Service Organization, and the Altar Guild.
She and Richard made their home on Woodlawn Drive in Bethel for 38 years. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband of nearly 50 years, Richard, she is survived by her son, Philip Haitsch and his wife, Carolyn of Ridgefield; her daughter, Layna Palumbo and her husband, Lorenzo of Bethel; her grandson, Chase Haitsch; and her brother-in-law, Aurel Haitsch, Jr. of Bethel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Catherine Haitsch. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, on Tuesday, April 24th at 10:00am. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel, will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, April 23rd between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
