Bessie Mae Hanna age 86 of Hillside Street, Danbury died on Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Danbury Hospital. Bessie was born on September 20, 1917 the daughter of the late John and Anna Mae (Cypher) McNamee. She lived her entire life in the Danbury area graduating from Danbury High School. She then married the late John Hanna in 1938 until he preceeded her in death in 1986. Bessie was known to be a very hard worker, working for American Radionics for twenty years.
Mrs. Hanna loved spending time with her family and enjoyed reading in her spare time. She will be sadly missed by one son John Hanna of Danbury and one daughter Joan and her husband Kenneth Waterhouse of Danbury. She also leaves to survive eleven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hanna is preceeded in death by her parents, husband, One daughter Shirley Marks, One brother, and Five sisters Funeral Information
Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 at Cornell Memorial Home with Rev. Dr. Laura Ahrens of St. James Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will be in Wooster Cemetery. Donations Information
