Joan A (Wheeler) Banks, age 73, died Friday, March 27, 2009 at her home in Danbury. She was born Nov 12, 1935, in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Arthur and Marjorie (Iskiyan) Wheeler.
Joan graduated from Americo Academy of Beauty and worked as a beautician for several years, then worked at Danbury Hospital Family Birth Center until her retirement.
Joan was predeceased by her husband George William "Jack" Banks and her son Darryl Anderson.
She is survived by her son Arthur William Banks of Putney , VT , her daughter Dawn Marion (Banks) Moore and her husband David of Kent, and her daughter-in-law Mary (Anderson) Elston of Bozeman, MT, grandchildren David (DJ), Dylan, Devin, and Joshua Moore, and Justin and Rachele Anderson; also a brother, Wayne Wheeler and his wife Robin of Danbury, sisters Paula Fazio and her husband Guido of Rehoboth, MA, and Audrey Ryan and her partner Donna Lashway of Gaylordsville also several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Rte 133, Brookfield, at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 4th Donations Information
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
