Michael Hoffman
July 12, 1950 - June 19, 2009
Michael Hoffman, age 58, of Brookfield, husband of Pamela J. (Shorthouse) Hoffman, died peacefully at his home on Friday, June 19th. He was born in Adrian, Michigan on July 12, 1950, son of Marilynn (Morton) Hoffman of Elkhert, Indiana and the late Kenneth D. Hoffman.
He worked as a Tech Support Engineer for EMC, a computer storage facility, in Norwalk. In the last year, Michael, discovered a passion for flying miniature airplanes and recently became a member of the Fairfield League of Yankee Radio Controllers, and the National Academy of Model Aeronautics.
Michael enjoyed his family time, especially his pride and joy, granddaughter, Zoë Michele. He loved to cook, was a wine connoisseur, and loved music, especially classical and jazz.
In addition to his mother, and his wife, Pamela of 40 years, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Heather Lee Dominice and her husband, Joseph of Santa Maria, CA; and his granddaughter, Zoë Michele Dominice. He is also survived by his brother, Monty Hoffman and his wife, Lucy of Michigan; his sister, Laurie Fischer and her husband, Gordon of Ohio. Funeral Information
A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at the Newtown Meeting House at the Flag Pole, 31 Main Street, Newtown, on Tuesday, June 23rd at 11:00am, with a reception immediately following. Donations Information
Contributions will be lovingly accepted in Michael's memory to the Heritage Preservation Trust for the Handicap Accessible Fund at Newtown Meeting House, PO Box 3082, Newtown, CT 06470-3082.
