William Hoffman

William Hoffman, age 89, lifelong resident of Brookfield died on Friday, September 8, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of the late Alice (Hayes) Hoffman and brother of the late Charles and Clinton Hoffman, Jr.
Mr. Hoffman was born in Bridgeport on March 16, 1917, a son of the late Clinton and Edith (Hurley) Hoffman. Many people may remember Hoffman's Poultry Farm which Bill and his two brothers operated with their father. In addition to his love of nature and wildlife, Bill had many interests including woodworking, vegetable gardening, and bowling.
He was a long time member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by two nephews: Scott Hoffman of Medfield, MA and Jock Hoffman of Arlington, MA; his niece, Beth Nanna of Brookfield; his sisters-in-law, Janet Hoffman, Dorothy Hatch, and Hilda Foley; his nieces and nephews, Nancy, Kathy, David and Richard Hayes, Donald, Richard, and Charlie Foley, all of Connecticut, James Hatch of Texas, and Thomas Hatch of California; as well as several cousins. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. Burial in Central Cemetery, Brookfield will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brookfield on Friday, September 22nd at 2:00pm. Donations Information
