Paul Stephen Holko
April 20, 1923 - December 24, 2004
Paul Stephen Holko, Sr., 81, formerly of Drover Road, Brookfield, husband of the late Mary E. (Kubinec) Holko, died at Rocky Hill Veterans Hospital on Friday, December 24th. He was born in Stamford on April 20, 1923, son of the late Paul J. and Mary "Baba" (Kushubar) Holko.
Mr. Holko was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He worked as a custodian for Stamford High School for twenty-five years and retired from Brookfield High School.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield and enjoyed being active with the Senior Center. He was a very friendly person and loved to play the harmonica for his family and friends. He was a spiritual man who enjoyed reading the Bible. He was a man who lived his faith.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Paul J. Holko and his wife, Suzanne of Brookfield; his seven grandchildren, Paul Stephen Holko, Benjamin, Jessica, Dawn, and Hannah Holko, Casey and Kelly Meehan. He is also survived by a brother, John Holko of Stamford; his three sisters, Marion Jablonski, Helen Stratoudakis, both of Stamford, and Margaret Munko of Rhode Island; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29th at 12:00 Noon. A Spring burial will take place in Central Cemetery, Brookfield.
The Family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Tuesday, December 28th between the hours of 4 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
