Eleanor H. Jansky

Eleanor H. Jansky, 76, of Deer Hill Ave, Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, July 13th. She was born on February 20, 1931 in Yonkers, NY to Casmire and Mary (Graytak) Jansky. She graduated from Commerce High School in Yonkers in 1949.
Eleanor began working for Prudential Insurance Co. in 1955 and retired after forty years in 1955.
Eleanor loved playing bingo, reading mystery novels, doing crossword puzzles, being with her "four-legged" great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed visiting her cousin at the Jersey Shore.
Eleanor will be greatly missed and leaves behind her niece, Laurie Parker and her husband, Ken; her nephew, Jack Elias; her great niece, Lindsay Elias, all of Waterbury; her brother-in-law, John Elias and his wife, Diana of New Milford; and her nephew Jake Elias of Bristol.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary C. Elias.
She also leaves her loving cousin and best friend, Evelyn Cottrell and her husband, George of Manahawkin, NJ; and her very good and loving friend, Lillian McNamara of Danbury. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 23rd at 11:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield. Burial in Prince of Peace Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends on Monday morning between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00am at the Church.
The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
