Obituary of John L. Jasinski

John L. Jasinski December 13, 1920 - January 25, 2009 John L. Jasinski, Sr., of Ponte Vedra Beach , Florida and Martha's Vineyard , MA , husband of the late Ellen (Sousa) Jasinski, died in Ponte Vedra Beach , Florida on January 25th. He was born in Hartford on December 13, 1920 son of the late Ignaz and Mary A. (Woytka) Jasinski. He was a graduate of Danbury High School and worked as a postal carrier for the Danbury Post Office for many years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Florida . For the past several years he had also been a part-time resident of Massachusetts . Mr. Jasinski was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving with the United States Navy. He was a recipient of several decorations. He will be sadly missed by his son, John L. Jasinski, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; his daughter, Maryellen Nixon and her husband Stephen of Martha's Vineyard, MA; his two grandchildren, Ciara Jasinski, Aaron Jones and his wife Laura; and his great grandson, Ayden Jones. He will also be missed by many friends and neighbors who lovingly referred to him as "Pop.." Funeral Information Graveside Services will be held at St. Peter Cemetery on Friday, February 6th at 10:30am. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
