Frances M. (Esposito) Jocknevich, age 89, of Delta Ave, Danbury, wife of the late Raymond P. Jocknevich, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, November 2nd. She was born in Carbondale, PA on December 1, 1918, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Cerra) Esposito. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Church in Danbury.
Mrs. Jocknevich was a homemaker who lovingly maintained the family home. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Richard F. Tomaino and his wife, Mary of Danbury; her daughter, Diane C. (Tomaino) Fisher and her husband, Jay of San Antonio, TX; her grandson, Jonah Fisher and his fiancé Erika DeLaFuente; her three granddaughters, Susie Newhall and her husband, Ryan, Nicole Mendelsohn and her husband, Michael, Dawn DiOrio and her husband, William; as well as five cherished great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael J. Tomaino; and her seven brothers and sisters. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6th at 10:30am at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday evening between 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
