Obituary of Rita Ann Ginty
Rita A. (Durkin) Ginty, 93, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Bernard F. Ginty, died peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Harborside Glen Hill. She was born in Danbury on August 27, 1923, daughter of the late Denis and Agnes (Shalvoy) Durkin. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church.

She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Tom and his wife, Judy, and Bill and his wife, Bonnie; her grandchildren, Nanci and her husband, Ethan, Jeffrey Ginty and his wife, Bevin; and her great grandchildren, Owen, Kellan, Maggie and Makenna. In addition to her husband, Bernard, she was predeceased by her son, Jim; and her siblings, Mary, Dennis, Agnes, Bill, John, June and Tom.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 3rd at 11:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday morning between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810.
