Obituary of Ronald Lewis Zealor
Ronald Lewis Zealor, 68, of Danbury, died at his home on Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was born in Danbury on August 7, 1950, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Patterson) Zealor. He was a graduate of Danbury High School. He was a member of the King Street Volunteer Fire Department and a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves.
Ron worked for AT&T for many years, starting as a repairman, moving up through various leadership roles and retiring as an upper executive.
An outdoorsman, he loved to golf, hunt in Locke, NY, and he was an avid fisherman. He especially loved to fish in the Salmon River. Upon retirement he followed his passion in Altmar, NY, owning and operating The Victorian at Altmar, a bed and breakfast for the salmon fishermen in the area.
He will be sadly missed by his three children, Colleen Cyr (Fred), Zachary and Rachel Zealor; his two grandchildren, Joseph and Julia Cyr; his brother, Donald Zealor (Patty); and his sister, Diane Zealor. He is also survived by his beloved nephews, Brad Zealor (Barb), Dan Zealor (Coreen), Luke Davis (Jessica), Travis Davis, Matthew Davis, Michael Davis (Karen), and Kyle Davis and his niece Sarah Zealor; and six great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, October 28th between 11:00am and 1:00pm.
