Obituary of Sean Patrick Gorman
Sean P. Gorman, 47, of Danbury, son of the late Thomas Gorman, and Kathleen (Blore) Pare, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, November 12th after a brief illness. He was born in Norwalk on April 14, 1971.
Sean resided with Ability Beyond for well over 25 years. He touched the lives of so many people including friends, staff and housemates who have been lucky enough to have made his acquaintance. Sean had a passion for music as displayed through his desire to carry a vinyl record with him wherever he went. Sean was a man of many talents and passions. He had an affinity since a young age for mowing lawns and listening to music. He turned these talents into a profitable business and was the proud owner of his own DJ and lawn maintenance business. He entertained at many parties throughout the years and saw his business grow and thrive from 1999 until 2018 when he was forced to retire due to his illness. Sean loved to laugh and also cry. He cried when he was sad, happy, appreciative or any other occasions befitting. He very much liked to help others and would rarely turn down pumping someone’s gas for them. Sean faced several challenges throughout his life and was able to face them as he did his brief illness, with tremendous courage and strength. He will be missed by so many who loved him, but are comforted knowing that his was a life well lived.
In addition to his mother, Kathleen, he is also survived by his sister, Tanya Hart and his very special friend, mentor and business partner, Bob Pappolla.
Friends are invited to visit at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, November 19th between 2:00-3:00pm. A funeral service celebrating Sean's life will begin at 2:30pm.
