Obituary of Mario F. Tomaino
Mario F. Tomaino, 91, of Danbury, beloved husband of the late Angelina (Critelli) Tomaino, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, November 25th. He was born in Tomaini, Decollatura, Italy on May 12, 1927, son of the late Pasquale and Angelina Tomaino. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury.
Mr. Tomaino worked as a machinist for American National Can, retiring after 24 years.
He enjoyed tending to his grapes and fishing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching boxing and soccer. His happiest moments were spent with his family, especially his great grandchildren who he adored.
He will be sadly missed by his two children, Anna Notaro and her husband, Peter, and Patrick Tomaino and his wife, Luisa; his three grandsons, Daniel Notaro and wife, Christy, Eric Notaro and wife, Robyn, and Steven Notaro and girlfriend, Jacquelyn Rae; his great grandchildren, Madison, Daniel, Jr., Noah, and Maya Notaro. He is also survived by brothers, Joseph and Arnold Tomaino. He was predeceased by his son, Egidio Giuseppe Tomaino; his great granddaughter, Antonia Notaro; and nine siblings.
Family and friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29that 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury with burial to follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
