Obituary of Elizabeth Clara Ferrara
Elizabeth Clara Ferrara (Kuenzig), 77, of Brookfield, formerly of Queens county, NY, beloved wife of Louis Ferrara, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, January 2nd. She was born in Queens county, NY on January 7, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Goetz) Kuenzig.
Elizabeth worked for many years as an Elementary school teacher for the New York City School System and West Hempstead School District. She later retired as a Technical writer and Manager of the Teachers’ Retirement System in New York.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, knitting, and needlework. She also enjoyed cooking, coloring, crossword puzzles, and reading.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, she will be sadly missed by her daughters, Mary Beth Procaccini and Marisa Ferrara; and her four grandchildren, Daniella Procaccini, Melanie, Cassidy, and Caleb Bermejo. She is also survived by her sister, Trudy Pennino (Frank Pennino) of Farmingdale, NY, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, January 12th between the hours of 1:00 – 3:00pm.
