Obituary of Dorothy Eloise Gadoci
Danbury – Mrs. Dorothy E. (Ulsamer) Gadoci, age 96, of Danbury, died Sunday January 6, 2019 at the Bethel Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Andrew J. Gadoci, Sr.
Mrs. Gadoci was born in Danbury on December 4, 1922. She volunteered in the Danbury School System for many years, teaching children to read and also enjoyed volunteering at her church and at Bethel Health Care Center. She formerly worked as a Weight Watchers Lecturer and also as a Telephone Operator at U.S. Surgical. She was an active member the United Methodist Church in Danbury. For decades, Dorothy was member of the Roton Point Beach Club in Rowayton, enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family as a doting Mom and Grandmother.
Mrs. Gadoci is survived by her children: Cheryl Smith and her husband Robb of Corpus Christi, TX; Andrew J. Gadoci and his wife Ginger of Ft. Wayne, IN; Paul A. Gadoci and his wife Beth of Gaithersburg, MD; and Mark Gadoci and his wife Suzanne of Watertown, CT. as well as her grandchildren: Chad, Sara, Adrienne, Brandon, Drew, Grant, Matt and Courtney, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Danbury. Burial in Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
