Obituary of Sr. Margaret Kenyon SSND
Sister Margaret Kenyon, a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, died on January 8, at Villa Notre Dame, Wilton, Conn, at age 85. Margaret was born on June 9, 1933,
in Teaneck, New Jersey, the daughter of Charles Kenyon and Marie Setzer. After pronouncing her vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame in 1954, she began teaching at Blessed Sacrament School in Baltimore, Maryland. She also taught at Catholic schools in Tampa, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. In her retirement Sister resided at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton.
Friends may call at Villa Notre Dame, 345 Belden Hill Road, Wilton, on Monday, January 14, from 3 to 7 pm, with a Christian wake service at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, January 15, in the chapel at Villa Notre Dame. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel, Conn.
