Obituary of Yvonne Theresa Rabasco

Yvonne Theresa Rabasco, 68, formerly of Mount Vernon, NY, beloved wife of Cosmo R. Rabasco, died peacefully at Regional Hospice in Danbury on Tuesday, March 12th.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 16, 1951, daughter of the late Adolph and Alice (Campbell) Rivera.  

Terry, as she was lovingly known, enjoyed working with children, assisting in the drama department at Lincoln Elementary School, Immanuel Lutheran School and Fortress Christian Academy in Mt. Vernon and as a teacher’s aide for Little Sparrows Nursery School in Armonk.  She was a past member of Fortress Bible Church in Mt. Vernon and upon making her home in Brookfield, CT a few years ago, became an active member of First Assembly of God.  

She was an artist, expressing her creative talent through drawing, painting and a variety of arts & crafts.  Terry is responsible for shaping her family into who they are today.  She was their rock, their source for Godly wisdom, and the most devoted mother, adoring grandmother and loyal wife and friend.    

In addition to her cherished husband of 45 years, Cosmo, she will be deeply missed by her daughters, Yvette Kanych and her husband, William, and Roxanne Rabasco; her grandchildren, Faith and Zachary Kanych; her sister, Roxanne Cornacchio and her husband, John; and her brother, Michael Caprio.  

Funeral Services will be held at the First Assembly of God in Brookfield on Saturday, March 23rd at 10:30am.  The family will receive family and friends at the church on Saturday morning between the hours of 9:00-10:00am.
