It was a pleasure to know and work with Mr. BURKE. A gentleman and a big advocate for his Union Brothers! A true legend in the CT, Construction Industry. God bless him and his family at this difficult time.

I just read this obit in the paper and it brought tears to my eyes. How lucky were you girls?? And how wonderful that you recognized what an extraordinary man he was. A life well lived, and loved.

We met Dave two years ago and immediately liked him. He had a quick smile, followed by a kind wink. He loved to joke around and spend time with his family. We are so very sorry for your loss. We are grateful for the two years we got to spend with him, but selfishly would have enjoyed a few more. Hope they have ice cream in Heaven!

Wow, Uncle Dave you left a beautiful legacy behind. What a rich heritage. We will all cherish the memories of meals at your house in Danbury. That Giant table you made with the Huge Lazy Suzan, got a lot of use !
Sneaking into the Pool late at night thinking you never knew but you were certainly "on to us ". Feeding those big pigs in your yard and the Clam bakes, are memories us Burke kids from the City will always hold dear in our hearts.
Of course, my trip to Fla. with Doozi (Debbie Griffin) was a blast. You & Aunt Pat spoiled us - having to stay extra days b/c of the snow was a fun bonus !!!
You will be missed.
PS: We cousins were blessed & it was always interesting to have Uncle Dave & Aunt Pat X 2
Have fun until we see you again & don't forget to say " Hi " to my Dad, Maria & all the crew up there.

I am sad to hear this news. I was just speaking of him today. The entire family is in my thoughts and prayers. I too find comfort that he is reunited with his Bride as he often called Aunt Pat. He will be missed in Homosassa by many and I am thankful to have known him. May he rest in peace.
