Obituary of Bernice Colletti
Bernice “Bunny” Colletti, age 88 of Brookfield, passed away on Saturday July 27, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at New Milford Hospital. She was born to the late Irving and Sylvia Chartoff on May 27, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York. Bunny now joins her husband, the late John “Jack” Colletti in eternal life.
Bunny, as she was fondly known, had continued to work tirelessly alongside her son at Conlet Plastics, Inc., a manufacturing company located in New Milford which had been established over 50 years ago by her late husband. Bunny had many interests in life including camping, boating, fishing, reading, ballroom dancing and sewing. She also enjoyed baking and once tried her hand at making fresh maple syrup from the trees in her neighborhood. Bunny loved the beach and looked forward to spending time in Cape May on the Jersey Shore every August. She often fondly recalled her trip to Florida to visit with her granddaughter, Kim.
Bunny will be sadly missed by her children: Robert and his wife, Susan (Taylor) Colletti of New Milford; Debora Masotta and her husband, Vincent of Wallingford; JoAnne Mulligan of New Milford, and her little brother Ira Scheier and his wife, Mariette of Maine; 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several cousins.
