Obituary of Nancy Ann Lutz

Danbury – Nancy Ann (Haseman) Lutz, age 72, of Danbury, died Monday August 12, 2019. She was the loving wife of David A. Lutz.

Nancy was born October 24, 1946 in Worthington, MN, daughter of the late Arthur William and Evelyn Marie (Gerdes) Haseman. She was retired as a teacher from Immanuel Lutheran School in Danbury and also previously taught at St. Matthews Lutheran School in New Britain, Zion Lutheran School in Bridgeport and Sacred Heart School in Danbury. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury where she sang in the choir, was a member of the bell choir and a member of the Women’s Service Organization. She served as the organist and choir director at Trinity Lutheran in New Milford, St. Andrews Lutheran in Ridgefield and Bethlehem Lutheran in Georgetown, was a music teacher at several schools, taught private piano lessons and was a reading buddy at Jericho. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia College, Seward, NE in 1968.

In addition to her husband David, Nancy is survived by her children Sarah Chadderdon and her husband Brian of Salem, OR and Mark Lutz of Danbury, her sister in law Laura Haseman of Woodbury, MN. She was predeceased by her brother Larry Haseman.

Nancy’s family will receive family and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Thursday August 15, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury. Relatives and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
