Obituary of Sandra E. Duff
Wilton – Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth (Brown) Duff, age 85, of Wilton and a long-termresident of Brookfield, CT, passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on September 4, 2019. She was the wife of the late Andrew James Duff.
Mrs. Duff was born June 16, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan daughter of the late Charles T. and Beatrice (Fuller) Brown. She was retired after working for many years in customer service at Pitney Bowes, Consolidated Freightways and Emery Worldwide. She was very active in her community throughout her life having served as a 4H leader and Secretary of the Brookfield Gun Club, and was a member of the Brookfield Professional Women’s Club and the Republican Women’s Club. She was an amazing cook and baker, a master gardener, beekeeper and an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and particularly enjoyed driving her little green MGB convertible. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats, having cared for and fostered many throughout the years.
Sandra enjoyed hosting family and friends, always serving wonderfully home cooked meals, great wine and plenty of warm hospitality.
Mrs. Duff is survived by her children: Sherry D. Duff and her husband Marty Schaivone of Stratford, Laurie D. Duff and her husband Jerry Bilaniuk of Long Valley, N.J., Wendy D. Duff-McLaughlin and her husband Rick McLaughlin of Farmington, MiMi D. Duff and her husband David Blob of Greenwich, Leslie Arslin of Port Charlotte, FL, Michael Keevis of Orlando, FL, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Duff was predeceased by her son: Gerald Keevis and her brother: Charles A. Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Monday September 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. Mrs. Duff’s family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Brookfield.
