Obituary of Jeanette Katherine Simone
Jeanette (Perry) Simone died on October 25, 2019 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Armand Simone Jr of Danbury.
Jeanette was born on July 23, 1934 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Jasper Perry and Angelina Funaro Perry. She graduated from Danbury High School, class of 1953. Jeanette worked at the Danbury Library for many years.
She loved to garden and cook but mostly liked to spend time with her beloved grandsons, especially watching their various sporting events. She was their biggest fan and never missed any of them. She also enjoyed watching NHL hockey with them.
Jeanette was known as a people person and a ray of light. It was important to her to help anyone in need and she would always make others feel special and cared about.
Jeanette is survived by her son Perry Simone and his wife Diane of New Milford; her son John Simone of Bethel, CT; her daughter, Tish Walker and husband Jack of Danbury, CT; and by her cherished grandsons, Christopher Walker and fiancé Melissa Lucas of Danbury, CT; and Nicholas Walker of Danbury, CT. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and dearest friend, Greta Simone-Alain of Danbury, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Joseph Perry, Frank Perry, and Jasper Perry Jr, and her sister Mamie Bowling as well as her stepmother, Marie Perry.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services are at St Joseph Church, Danbury, CT; Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10:00 am.
