My family was so saddened to hear of AnnMarie’s passing. AnnMarie took such great care of my mother, Florence Pannell, and her smile and jokes were always the highlight of my mother’s trips to Dr. Pollack’s office. AnnMarie would often commiserate with Mom after updating the height chart - we had a great laugh the day Mom had finally shrunk to be shorter than AnnMarie. It was so sweet to see the two little Italians hug - really hug - each other at the end of every office visit. I am sure all the patients loved AnnMarie as much as we did.
I remember AnnMarie being a fun waitress at Tortilla Flats and being very patient while testing my children’s eyes at Dr. Mathias’ office. Wherever AnnMarie was, there was sure to be wisecracks, smiles, and laughter.
I will miss seeing AnnMarie, but hope that she and my mother are enjoying a hug and a laugh in heaven tonight.
