We share the sense of loss with the passing of Al Parente. His hospitality was legendary and for 43 years he was a key part of summers spent on Candlewood Lake, the cherished family memories of those who came and enjoyed "Down the Hatch " as part of a Summer visit to Candlewood. He also generously served on the Candlewood Lake Authority . Our condolences to the entire family on your loss, his legacy and memory endure.

I worked many years for Al at the Hatch and off season around his property. He was one of the hardest working men I've ever come across. He loved the Hatch, all the regulars, and most of all, he treated his employees like family. My condolences to Barb, Scott, Krista, and all of Al's extended family.
Warm regards,
David Bonacci
