Sister Jewel was such a great teacher and, more importantly, a beautiful, sweet soul. She had a childlike way and wonder about her. I learned so much from her in year one at CBS, and she will be missed. “May the choirs of angels come to greet you; may they speed you to paradise.” Rest In Peace, Sr. Jewel. CBS Class of 2019. I will never forget Sr. Jewel's feistiness and intensity when teaching classes at the Catholic Biblical School. She brought the bible readings to life and made us feel -- and understand -- the importance of the people and events in the Old Testament. May she rest in peace with her savior, after the good life she has lived and shared with so many!

What a wonderful life that Sr. Jewel shared with so many here in our midst. She brought the living word of God to so many which they in turn shared with so many.
What a tribute to a woman of the Word to be laid to rest on the feast of St. John the Evangelist.
Thank you Sr. Jewel for a Christ-life well lived.

Sr. Jewel inspired thousands of us in the Hartford Catholic Biblical School. I believe she will continue to inspire our studies as she lives at the side of our Savior. On behalf of the entire Biblical School, prayers for all comfort and peace to her soul, and the souls of those who will be missing her so poignantly. We will never forget.
The Sr. Jewel Renna, CND Scholarship Fund was established in 2010, made possible by donations from alumni, who are all deeply devoted to Sr. Jewel.
