Debbie’s family, So deeply sorry to hear of your great loss so late. My Hartford Hospital Alumni magazine came to day & I saw Deb’s name in memorial. She worked so hard as a student to reach her Nursing vocation. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. I remember we came to your home one weekend when we were students. I know she was a wonderful RN & my heart aches for all of us. God bless & pray you find comfort in God’s promises to us. Love, friend & classmate,
Patty Curtin Berube RN HHSN ‘72

I met Debbie in 1984 when I was a new RN graduate. Debbie was an amazing role model who gave her heart and soul to all her patients demonstrating the deepest level of compassion. She was admired and respected by the physicians with whom we worked, We were not only co workers but friends! I will always treasure all our fun times playing softball and the fun times we had while working. You put up a good fight Deb. You took amazing care of everyone while on this earth please continue to be our Angel in Heaven. You will be missed beyond words.

Dear family...my name is Linda Najam RN.. In 1970 I graduated from Hartford hospital school of nursing.. I also graduated from Brookfield high school in the 1st class of 1967... Debbie was a wonderful, bubbly friend and nurse she cared deeply about her patients and her friends, I want to write to her family, especially her Mom and Dad...Debbie was my "little sister" in Nursing School. What that meant was, that I , as an upperclassman , was to mentor her and guide her through her 3 years of school. It is often hard to leave home as a freshman in any higher education, Debbie excelled in everything she did in nursing. My prayers are with you all and with her soul.....Linda

I am so sad to hear about Debbie’s passing. Not only do I remember growing up in the neighborhood with her and the brothers, but she was a dear and devoted friend to my mom.
I thought something was wrong because after my mom died, I tried to keep in touch with Debbie because I knew how much she meant to my mom. When I sent her a Christmas card this year and didn’t hear back I was a little worried.
If anyone was meant to be a nurse, it was Debbie. She was one of the most kind and caring persons I ever knew.
Sending my love and prayers to Mr. and Mrs. Osborne and the brothers. Heaven surely gained an angel.

Debbie was a wonderful friend and neighbor. We enjoyed many good times together, especially at Christmas time when she would come to my house for a party, dance and sing. She will always be in our heart and mind. Rest in peace Debbie.
