Paul was of Slovak origin. Both of his parents came to CT/ US from Slovakia (at that time under Austro-Hungarian rule, later Czechoslovakia). Though Paul grew up in the States, he spoke fluent Slovak and during his visit in the home country of his parents, he was able to effortlessly communicate with his relatives. His (remaining) Slovak cousins with their families express their deepest sympathies to Ruth and the rest of Paul’s family. He will remain in our memories as a kind-hearted and jolly man to be around who stayed in touch with his Slovak relatives & heritage throughout his whole life.

I was in Mr. Fako's Earth Science class in 1969-1970. I remember it still. His course was fascinating, and he expected you to come ready to think. I regret I did not try out for the golf team.
