Obituary of Pamela Mary Fagan
Pamela M. Fagan
The much loved Pamela Mary (Gearin) Fagan, of Sandy Hook, beloved wife of Paul M. Fagan, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 21st, after a long and courageous battle against Parkinson’s disease.
Pam was born in Norwalk on April 19, 1941, daughter of the late Jack Gearin and Mildred (Carusone) Gearin. After she married her husband Paul, they moved to Danbury and made it their home for over 50 years. There they raised their three sons, Paul Jr., Timothy and Jonathan. Pam was loving, loyal, generous and dedicated to her friends and family. She devoted her life to providing care, comfort and love to those closest to her. She loved being a Wife, Mother, Mother in-law and a Grandmother. Pam was a woman full of life, who had a passion for cooking, decorating, knitting and writing poetry. Her favorite trips were to their vacation home in the Berkshires. There she entertained her friends and family providing loving meals after a day of skiing and many hours of laughter. Pam had the gift of conversation and a wonderful sense of humour. When you spoke with her you knew she was listening with all her heart. Though the disease robbed her speech, it never took her courage. We all are so grateful to have had Pam in our lives. She taught us many things, including her sons how to ski, but the most important lesson was how to be brave through adversity. We hold loving memories of her close to our hearts forever.
She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Paul M Fagan. She is survived by her three sons and their families. Paul Fagan, Jr., and his wife, Tracy and their sons Casey and Matthew. Timothy Fagan and his wife, Stephanie, and their daughter Lily. Jonathan Fagan and his son’s Jackson, Michael and Noah. Dues to COVID-19 restrictions, Pam will be honored with a private Catholic family burial. A celebration of her life will be held at a date and time to be announced to family and friends.
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, www.parkinson.org. Let’s help others have strength in optimism and hope in progress.
