Obituary of Michael Anthony Stona, Jr.

Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 New Fairfield – Mr.  Michael Anthony Stona, Jr., age 76, of New Fairfield, beloved husband of Rita (Lumalcuri) Stona, passed on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his home following a brave battle with cancer. Mr. Stona was born on August 2, 1943 in New York City.  The son of the late Carmella (Posillipo) Stona and Michael Anthony Stona, Sr.,  Mr. Stona proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army, 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam.   He retired after working many years at E.M. Chemicals, in Elmsford NY, and the United States Postal Service. In addition to his wife Rita, Mr. Stona is survived by his daughter: Dawn Montelione and her husband Michael of New Fairfield and his grandchildren: Madison Grace and Joseph Matthew.He deeply enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and watching his granddaughter sing. He was predeceased by his brother: Carl Stona. Due to the current COVID 19 virus restrictions, private graveside services will be held for Mr. Stona at Mountain View Cemetery in New Fairfield.
