Obituary of Frances Ruppell
Danbury – Mrs. Frances (Jazinski) Ruppell, age 95, died Thursday August 6, 2020 at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Henry Kenneth Ruppell.
Mrs. Ruppell was born in Danbury on January 4, 1925 daughter of the late George and Pauline (Prowasnik) Jazinski. Frances was never without a job, finally retiring at age 82 from Century 21 Paul Scalzo Realty where she had worked as a real estate broker. She also previously worked as a proof reader in sales at Barden for 30 years “retiring” at age 59. She then accepted a job with Boehringer Ingleheim Medical Library in the Scientific Services, “retiring” at age 67. Frances always said that she had enough experience to qualify for a job in Heaven. She was a member and past secretary for 20 years of the Ukranian Cultural Commission. She enjoyed reading, yard work and gardening. She loved traveling around the U.S.A. and the world with her husband Kenneth, having visited Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Ukraine, Poland, Germany and Canada. Frances lived the rest of her life cared for by her loving, caregiving daughter: Brenda O’Shea. Frances loved everyone and was always helpful to everyones needs.
In addition to her loving daughter and caregiver: Brenda Maureen O’Shea of Danbury, Frances is survived by her sisters: Dorothy Bauer of Lake Ariel, PA and Ann Pompea of New Fairfield and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters: Olga Jazinski, Pelagia McIntosh, Marion Cappellano, Mary Stavola, Vera Cardillo, Sophie Bard and Julia Lynch.
Due to the COVID 19 virus, all services will be private. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
