Obituary of Jose Antonio Silva

Danbury – Mr. Jose “Joe” Antonio Silva, age 53, of Danbury, died Thursday September 3, 2020 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Maria I. Neide (Sousa) Silva.

Joe was born in Portugal on October 23, 1966 son of Manuel and Maria (Melo) Silva of Portugal. He was a partner of A. Silverio Paving. He loved hiking, camping, the outdoors regardless of the weather, grilling for family and friends and living life to its fullest. He was an amazing person, always fun to be around.

In addition to his wife Neide, Joe is survived by his children Julie and Daniel , his sister: Celia and her husband Bob, his brother: Delfim and his wife Celia, his nephews Jason and Steven and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he loved and enjoyed spending time with. He will be sadly missed.

Mr. Silva’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Saturday September 5, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday September 8, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury.
