Obituary of Nicholas Marchioni
Nicholas Marchioni, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 2, 2020 at Danbury Hospital. Nicholas was born in Yonkers, NY, and was a long-time resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. For the last three years he made his home in Brookfield with his niece Cheryl Macioce, her husband, Dan and their family.
Nicholas was born February 12, 1933 in Yonkers, NY to the late Giuseppe and Angelina Racana Marchioni. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at Gastetna Manufacturing Company in the Shipping and Receiving Department until his retirement. Nicholas will be fondly remembered for his generous spirit and concern for others. He was well liked by everyone. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his family.
Nicholas will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, too many to list. He was predeceased by his siblings: Mary Dominelli, Jennie Schreiber, Gilda Roma, Lucy Marchioni, Florence D’Ambrozio, Louis Marconi, and Frank Marconi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers on Thursday September 10th. We will gather graveside at 11:00am. Due to COVID-19, masks are kindly asked to be worn for all services.
