Joseph P. Australia.
I can't believe what I have only just found out. I remember discussing the purchase of an engine with Big Al, he helped with everything, right down to the delivery to Australia.
I remember Big Al saying to me, if you have any questions just call me I will pick up the phone, true to that word, each time I did call, I got, "Big Al's toy box, Big Al speaking, how may I help you".
What a true gentleman Al was, you will be surely missed by many Big Al.
I must say, I have been noticing much more thunder storms down here in Australia, but it now makes sense, clearly Al has his Toy Box workshop opened in heaven.
Thank you Al Lombardo for the pleasure I had in doing business with the most dedicated business operator I have ever dealt with.
You will be surely missed, Rest In Peace Allen Lombardo.

I just learned of Al’s passing,my condolences. Al. Walked my through the purchase of my engine step by step. Being completely naive but knowing all true muscle cars have a blower he put me at ease with the decision to buy from him. He answered all my questions and there were many. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting him but from our numerous phone and email discussions he was a true gentleman. I am sorry for your loss

Haven't been to the website in a couple of months, and as I read that Al had passed, it took my breath. I was fortunate enough to have met Al when I ordered my first motor and actually flew out to his shop from Chicago to see and hear it on the dyno. I then had Al and the guys build me a second motor for an old truck. Needless to say, Al always returned my calls for my many countless questions, and would always laugh or crack a joke. You will be dearly missed. :(

My heartfelt condolences to the Lombardo Family for your loss. My best to you all during this difficult time. Although I did not have the privilege of meeting all in person, I was aware of his work. The auto industry lost a great craftsman and his absence will be felt for some time going forward. Thank you Al!

Al was a fixture at Englishtown Swap Meet. Always saw him riding around in his golf cart until it was time to start up one of his motors. Naturally, he attracted a large crowd. Well, shit, the damned ground was shakin' when he lit the fuse on one of them!!!
Quick story....I worked at Maaco in Danbury, Al came in with his red dually, needed some bodywork and paint, but needed it by the weekend for towing his race car. We got it done in time and he was very thankful. Al then invited me, a perfect stranger, to his 4th of July bash at his place. I was so taken back by his kindness......I'll always remember you for that, Al. Thank you for the memories.

Very recently called Al to ask him a question about a competitor's product,..to obrmtsin a third party opinion. AL NEVER ONCE offered to sell me his product,..never once talked badly about the competition. He just provided an unbiased opinion based off his vast experience. That struck me as so professional and HONEST,..i decided to place my order with Al..he was excited to get to a Buick blower setup again and I hate he won't be able to see the finished product. But as we all know he's in a much better place and I wish the family well and will proudly display his name on my new build.

I love you and miss you always my brother. Love Jimmy
