Obituary of Kaye Clara Knipe
New Milford – Kaye C. Knipe (aka Nanny K), age 77, of New Milford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at the Garnett Medical Center in Monticello, New York. She was the widow of Robert H. Knipe Sr.
Kaye was born August 12, 1943 in St. John, Maine. The daughter of the late Clair Nathan and Marjorie Helen (O’Leary) McBreairty. She was retired after working for over 19 years as a secretary at First Light Power Resources and was a longtime member of the Northville Baptist Church in New Milford. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, vacationing, racing, cruising, bowling and traveling to the casino; always open to traveling on a whim.
Kaye is survived by her children: Robert H. Knipe, Jr. of New Milford, Debbie Arturi (John) of New Milford, Pam Beckman (Jim) of Warren and Sandy Moore (Dan) of New Preston, her sisters: Miney MacKenzie of Southbury and Lorraine Burns (Burnsey) of New Milford, her brother in law: Robert Colburn of New Milford, her grandchildren: Robert M. Knipe, Allison Knipe, Jonathan Arturi, Olivia Moore, Owen Moore, Clare Moore, a special daughter in-law Teri Knipe and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister: Glennis Colburn and brother in law Edward MacKenzie.
Kaye’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Northville Baptist Church, 9 Little Bear Hill Road, New Milford on Tuesday January 5, 2021 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. All current COVID 19 regulations will be strictly adhered to. Masks are required. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Attendance for the funeral service is limited to 120 attendees total, 60 people to be seated in the sanctuary for the live service and 60 people in the Fellowship Hall to view a livestream of the service. All who wish to attend the service are asked to please register on the church website www.northvillebaptistchurch.com/event-details/kaye-knipe-funeral-service on Monday January 4, 2021. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery in Brookfield. The funeral service will also be live streamed on the church website for those who are unable to personally attend. The Cornell Memorial Home 247 White Street Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
