Obituary of Eva Maria Perry
Brookfield – Mrs. Eva Maria (Magyar) Perry, age 89, of Brookfield, CT passed away peacefully at her home on Monday April 5, 2021. She was the widow of Robert M. Perry. Eva was born March 9, 1932 in Szekesfehervar, Hungary. She was the daughter of the late Istvan and Maria (Pal) Magyar. Eva immigrated to the United States from Hungary in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution. She worked for many years as an Oral Surgeon’s Assistant, and later worked with her husband in the family business.
Eva loved black cats, word and number puzzles, cooking traditional Hungarian dishes for her family, and insisting on dessert directly after dinner. Eva will be remembered for her European flare. Over the years, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, interior and fashion design, and knitting for family, friends, and charity.
Eva is survived by her son, Erwin Nanassy, of Atco, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Autumn Pasold (Will), Dale LaFlam (Claire), and Justin Nannassy, and her great grandchildren Cal and Collins LaFlam. She was predeceased by her daughter Betty Nanassy LaFlam. Her family will remember her for her unconditional love, beautiful garden, and big heart.
Mrs. Perry’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White Street Danbury, CT on Friday April 9, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday April 9, 2021 at 12 p.m. All current COVID 19 regulations will be strictly followed. All attending are asked to please wear a mask and maintain proper social distancing. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury.
