Obituary of Gary Scott Elwell
Gary “ Scott” Elwell, age 52 of Brookfield, passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2021 at his home in Brookfield. His wife and daughter were with him when he passed. He was born January 24, 1969 in Danbury to the late Gary Royal Elwell and Ruth McCarthy Elwell. He was the beloved husband to AnnMariee Elwell.
Scott loved listening to music, hiking, camping, bonfires, fishing and tending to his vegetable gardens. Scott also enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles and cheering for the New York Giants and Boston Red Sox teams. He was a genuine giver and would help anyone in need. You just had to meet him once and you would instantly know his heart. His daughter was his world and his wife was his best friend.
In addition to his wife, AnnMariee, Scott will be greatly missed by his daughter, Hailey Mariee Elwell of Brookfield; siblings: Joseph Elwell of Terryville, Lisa Baldwin of Brookfield, and Jeanne Gebert and her husband Wayne, of Florida; nieces: Sarah Baldwin and Megan Gebert; Nephews: Joseph Elwell, Jr., David Elwell, Ryan Gebert, Tyler Elwell, and Michael Baldwin; and his sister-in-law, Kathy Harris and her husband, Brad.
