Obituary of Bruce Norman Erickson
Bruce Norman Erickson, born September 10, 1939, passed away in his home on July 7, 2021 with his loving wife, Elaine, by his side. Bruce was a veteran of the United States Army and also served as a reservist in the Marine Corp. He worked for many years at GE as an appliance technician.
Bruce loved the outdoors! He was very athletic… and he was a great sport! He raced, by foot, to the top of Mount Washington. He loved hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and most of all taking his best friend/4 legged son, Murphy, on long walks. Around the neighborhood, the duo were like celebrities with their many neighborhood friends.
In addition to his wife, Elaine, Bruce will be sadly missed by his son, Robert Erickson, his stepdaughter, Tami Erickson and her husband Charlie, his daughter in-law, Susan Gardner; his sister, Cilla Bolack and her husband, Mike; his grandchildren: Melanie, Megan, and Shannon, Jeremiah (Carla) and Brock (Christina) Blakeley, Emily, Mollie, and Michael Gardner, Charlie (Diane) and Kevin Erickson; and many great grandchildren that truly adored him. He is also survived by his stepson, Donald Gardner. Bruce will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and his lifelong friends he made in the service, at work, and in the neighborhood.
Bruce and his wife, Elaine, were happily married for over 52 years. They loved traveling together and making beautiful memories along the way. Bruce also loved when Elaine dragged him along on her many casino adventures. She already misses her #1 more than words can explain.
